Meet Constantin, aka The Emperor, the keyboard player of the Clutch Poppers. He’s a rock and roll legend with a passion for music and a flair for fun. He’s been playing since he was a kid, inspired by the Beatles and their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. He learned to play guitar left-handed, just like his idol Paul McCartney, but he also mastered the piano, which he can play with ease and grace. He’s been in several bands over the years, including Link, with his talented wife, and On Call, with his fellow health care professionals from the Oakville hospital. But his current gig is with the Clutch Poppers, where he unleashes his inner beast on the keys. His playing style is like a 409ci Turbo-FireV8 engine from a 1964 Chevy Impala: powerful, smooth and roaring. He can make the keyboard sing, scream and sizzle with his fingers. He’s also a great vocalist, who likes to warm up his voice with a sip of Scotch before hitting the stage (or so he claims ;-)). He’s not just a musician, he’s an entertainer, who loves to make people smile and dance with his music. He’s The Emperor, and he rules the keyboard.
